A 30-year-old woman and her 11-month-old son were found dead under suspicious circumstances at their residence in Byraveshwarnagar near Nagarbhavi on Wednesday .
According to the complaint filed by Mahantesh Wali (32), an engineer working at a private firm in Peenya,he had left for work around 9 am on April 1,leaving behind his wife Pratibha Wali and their infant son at home.

Pratibha was employed with a private company near Silk Board and was working from home.
When Mahantesh returned around 6.30 pm,he found the door locked from inside.
Despite repeated knocks and phone calls,there was no response.He then accessed the house using a spare key kept near the window.
Upon entering,he found his wife hanging from a hook using a saree.
Police said she had also allegedly slit her left wrist.Their infant son was found lying unresponsive on the bed.
A purported note recovered from the scene,written in English,stated that the child had accidentally fallen into water and died,and that she was unable to save him.
The note also sought forgiveness.Investigators also found an empty strip of Dolo tablets near the body, indicating possible consumption of multiple pills.
Based on the complaint,the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita Section 194(3)(iv) has been invoked,and an Unnatural Death Report has been registered at Chandralayout Police Station.
Police said the complainant has expressed suspicion over the deaths and requested a detailed probe.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem,and further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the incident.
