A real estate agent who was allegedly abducted near Anekal on Sunday evening was found murdered near Denkanikottai in neighbouring Tamil Nadu.
The deceased has been identified as Gopal, a real estate agent involved in property and financial dealings in the area.
Senior officer told reporters that an unidentified assailants intercepted Gopal’s car near Anekal and abducted him.
The accused allegedly took him towards Denkanikottai, where he was attacked with sharp weapons and killed.His body was recovered near Denkanikottai on Monday.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a person identified as Mohan Babu had allegedly given a contract of Rs.25 lakh for Gopal’s murder over business rivalry .
The police have taken few suspects into custody for questioning.
Following the incident,family members and relatives of the victim staged a protest in front of Anekal Police Station demanding the immediate arrest of the accused and strict action against those involved.
Police said Gopal was engaged in real estate and money-related transactions.On Sunday evening, he was reportedly travelling in his car along with an associate near Karpur Gate when the accused rammed their vehicle,abducted him, and later murdered him.
Senior police officials visited the spot and supervised the investigations.Seven special teams have been formed to track down the assailants who are on the run,
