A terror accused lodged in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison ward died due to illness while undergoing treatment on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Sadiq Pasha (47), an accused in the Suddaguntepalya explosive substances seizure case.He had been in judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara prison.
According to officials,Sadiq Pasha was suffering from multiple health issues,including low BP and high sugar, for the past several months.
As his condition deteriorated,prison authorities shifted him to Victoria Hospital for treatment.
However,despite medical intervention, he died late Friday night as the treatment did not yield results.
The Suddaguntepalya police had registered the explosives seizure case in 2020,following which the National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over the probe.
Sadiq Pasha was among six accused arrested in the case.Since his arrest,he had remained in custody at Parappana Agrahara prison for nearly six years.
