With the objective of safeguarding public health,the East Division Police conducted a special inspection drive across the east division as preventive measures to check on contraband.
The operation aimed to prevent the manufacture, storage,transportation,and sale of Narcotic substances.
As part of the drive,police teams carried out inspections and searches at 45 chemical manufacturing units,165 workshops,and 116 warehouses within the East Division limits.
Police officials conducted station-wise inspections and verified records,storage practices,and operational activities of the establishments.
During the operation,owners and managers of the inspected units were clearly warned that stringent legal action would be initiated against anyone found involved in illegal narcotic-related activities.
The police stated that such inspections will continue as part of sustained efforts to curb drug-related offences and ensure public safety.
Similar drive has also been carried to prevent incidents of theft,robbery,and other crimes targeting jewellery shops,the East Division Police of Bengaluru City conducted a comprehensive security inspection drive across the division.
The inspections were carried out as per the directions of Dr.Vikram Amate,IPS,Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Division.All Police Inspectors,along with their staff, inspected jewellery shops within their respective station limits and held meetings with shop owners to review existing security measures.
As part of the drive,228 jewellery shops were inspected across the East Division.Police officials interacted with owners and discussed the importance of CCTV surveillance,alarm systems,access control,and coordination with local police stations.
Police said the initiative was aimed at strengthening preventive measures and enhancing coordination between jewellery shop owners and the police to ensure public safety.Such inspections will continue periodically, officials added.
