Kannada publisher and writer Asha Raghu (46) was found dead at her residence in Malleswaram on Saturday, police said.
Asha was found hanging inside a room of her house. When there was no response from inside,family members broke open the door and found her dead,the police said.
She is survived by a daughter.Her husband, K.C.Raghu, had passed away two years ago.Following his death, Asha was reportedly suffering from depression,police added.
A case of unnatural death has been registered and further investigation is underway.After the post-mortem examination,the body was handed over to the family, Malleswaram senior officer said.
Asha Raghu was a novelist and had also worked in the television industry as a dialogue writer and assistant director.
