Two people including a 69-year-old woman was killed in a fatal accident involving BMTC bus in VIjaya Nagar and Madiwala police station limits on Thursday.
According to the police,the deceased Susheelamma was alighting from the BMTC bus at Govindaraja Nagar stop when the bus moved.She lost control came under the wheels and crushed to death.
The Vijayanagar police have registered a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving against the driver and seized the bus.
The driver told the police that he failed to notice Susheelamma getting down while resulted in the tragic death.
In another incident,A 65-year-old vegetable vendor was killed after a speeding BMTC bus run over him in Madiwala market road on Thursday morning.
The deceased Venkataramanappa,resident of Roopena Agrahara was crossing the road .
The Bus coming from Kripanidhi junction moving on Madiwala market road, crashed into a good vehicle before knocking down the pedestrian .
The police have arrested the driver who told the police that there was technical snag and he could not apply break resulted in the accident.
The police arrested the driver and seized the bus waiting for the report form the technical experts to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
