Bengaluru man dances on cab roof at Mehkri Circle, brings traffic to a halt detained by cops

Traffic on the busy Ballari Road came was disrupted for sometime on Monday after a supermarket manager allegedly assaulted a cab driver and created a ruckus near Mekhri Circle.

The Sadashivanagar police detained the accused, identified as Santosh,following the incident.

According to the Police,Santosh had boarded a cab to the Kempegowda International Airport to catch a flight to Badrinath.

En route,he reportedly picked a quarrel with the driver over a trivial issue and assaulted him.He then got out of the cab near Mekhri Circle and began creating chaos on the busy stretch,leading to a massive traffic pile-up.

A traffic policeman who approached Santosh to pacify him was also allegedly manhandled and behaved aggressively .

The Sadashivanagar police rushed to the spot and took Santosh,along with the cab driver, to the station.

During inquiry,Santosh’s parents informed the police that he is mentally disturbed and undergoing treatment.

Based on a complaint filed by the cab driver,the police have taken up a case and are investigating further.
