The Tilaknagar police on Sunday arrested two labourers for allegedly killing a 35-year-old mother of four and dumped her body in a abandoned autorickshaw on Saturday .
The accused Subramani,32,and Senthil,28,residents of KHB Colony in Tilaknagar and daily wage labourer working as plumber and maison.
Probe revealed that the duo was in a relationship with the deceased Salma.
The victim got in touch with them after her husband died a year ago.She lived with her four children in the BTB colony working as domestic help to support her family .
The trio used to have affair and meet up frequently to drink alcohol.
The duo started suspecting Salma is cheating on them .
On Saturday,the three were drinking together at the regular place after couple of drinks the duo argued with Salma accusing her of having relationship with another man after exchange of words,in a fit of rage Subramani attacked Salma with a blunt weapon.A fatal blow on her head rendered her collapsed and died on the spot.
Realising that she is dead the duo decided to dispose the body.As per the plan the duo wrapped the body in a cloth carried it and dumped inside the autorickshaw that was parked near the Tilaknagar police station on Friday night for over an year up for sale .
On Saturday evening few passer-by noticed the body and alerted Salma’s mother,Parvin Taj, who then alerted the police,officials said.
Police have booked the duo under BNS 103 (murder) And efforts are on to recover the murder weapon .
