In a special drive against school bus,the Bengaluru traffic police caught 36 drivers driving under the influence of alcohol within two hours of Friday morning.
According to the official release,the drive started at around 7 am to 9.30 am against school vehicle drivers who are under the influence of alcohol.
A total number of 5881 school vehicle drivers were checked for consumption of alcohol out of which 36 drivers were found positive for alcohol test,the release , added .
Drivers who found positive for alcohol were prosecuted under IMV act and the DL’s of the concerned drivers were sent to respective RTO’s for suspension.
Action has been taken to issue a notice to the concerned school management regarding their school vehicle drivers driving under the influence of alcohol,the release added.
