Bengaluru South City Corporation Commissioner,K N Ramesh conducted an inspection today around the historic Banashankari Temple and the adjacent Sarakki Market area.
During the inspection,the Commissioner issued several directives to officials in light of the growing unhygienic conditions in the vicinity of the temple and market areas.
He instructed officials to clear identified”black spots”— areas known for waste accumulation—around the temple and market.
Observing significant footpath encroachments between Banashankari Temple and Sarakki Market,he directed immediate removal of these obstructions to restore pedestrian access.
The Commissioner also ordered the eviction of street vendors operating without palike-issued identity cards from these locations.
Accompanying the Commissioner during the inspection were Smt.Madhu N.N,Joint Commissioner of Jayanagar Zone,Ravi K.V,Chief Engineer,and other senior officials.

Naveen Kumar Raju,Additional Commissioner (Development) inspected pothole-filling works in JP Nagar 2nd Phase and directed that potholes within the city corporation limits be filled promptly using scientifically approved methods.
Basavaraj Kabade,Chief Engineer,and other officials were present during the inspection.
