Following the incident about a group of customers created ruckus at one of the cafe’s branch at airport on Thursday accusing worn found in the food,the operation head has filed a complaint with the police alleging blackmail and Rs.25 lakh ransom .
In a complaint to the city police commissioner and later filed with the airport police,Sumanth Lakshminarayanan, said that a group of seven people picked up quarrel and falsely alleged that the food served to them was bad and then threatened that they will defame and dent image of our brand by circulating this in social media.
The group further demanded owner of The Rameshwaram Cafe should speak to them and compensate or they have to face the consequences.
They also created nuisance in front of other customers. We have taken all the minute precautions and followed all protocols given by the airport authority regarding Hygiene and quality of food.The news soon went viral on social media .
The management tried to reach that person who made allegation and created ruckus but it was not reachable.
Two hours later the person returned the call and straight away demanded Rs.25 lakhs in cash to be delivered in brigade road or else our brand has to face the consequences if he circulates the false news to media.
Earlier also there were several attempts where people with malafide intention voluntarily have put insects, stones into the food and were caught red handed in some of our other outlets.
Based on the complaint the police trying to track down the caller for further investigation.
