*Rayareddy,Minister Sudhakar’s certificate to the government is a mirror to the administrative approach.
*Chaos reigns due to infighting for power, price hikes, and corruption.
*Administration of Vidhana Soudha shifts to Wayanad; permission granted for Malayalam film shooting in the tiger project area.
Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly,R. Ashoka, has said that the “Janaakrosha” (people’s outrage) being expressed across the state is proof that the administrative machinery of the Siddaramaiah government has collapsed and corruption has crossed all limits.
He criticized the government, stating that the certificate given by the Chief Minister’s economic advisor, Basavaraj Rayareddy, that Karnataka is number one in corruption, and the statement by Minister D.Sudhakar that the government is taking off after 20 months, hold a mirror to the government’s functioning.
In a statement released on this matter,he said that people across the state are expressing outrage against this government.
The support for the party’s Janaakrosha Yatra and the sentiments expressed by people in the districts being visited are evidence of this, he noted.
*Bribery has crossed all limits:
As he had previously stated in the assembly session, this is a deceitful government delivering poor governance. Efforts to cover it up have failed.
In 20 months, the true colors of the Siddaramaiah government have been exposed.Due to the unscientific implementation of guarantee schemes, the treasury has been emptied, and the government is bankrupt. Not a single development program is being implemented,he alleged.
For this reason, the Chief Minister and ministers are not touring anywhere.Wherever they go,they face the wrath of the people, so they sit in Bengaluru wasting time.
On one hand, price hikes are hitting hard, and on the other, people are harassed by rampant bribery in every office, he lashed out.
Even Congress leaders and workers are openly criticizing this reality on the streets. One cannot keep lying and passing time for too long.
That’s why Rayareddy and Minister D.Sudhakar have openly spoken the truth. What bigger certificate does this government need?Ashok remarked sarcastically.
*Ministers not listening to the CM:
A few months ago,Siddaramaiah held a day-long Janata Darshan program in front of Vidhana Soudha and instructed that henceforth, district in-charge ministers must compulsorily hold Janata Darshan in district headquarters every month.
However,no minister heeded the CM’s words, and Janata Darshan has not taken place anywhere. This is a small sample of the government’s functioning,he alleged.
How long will Siddaramaiah remain? Will he be replaced?Such speculation is rife among ministers. As a result, there is no one to listen to the people’s grievances.
Even officials are not listening or coming to the office, causing the administration to go off track,he expressed his outrage.
The entire government is mired in leadership change controversies, corruption, and looting.Through steep price hikes, they are preying on the common people like vultures. Anarchy is rampant in the state,Ashok alleged.
*Wayanad as the central office:
Now, the administration of Vidhana Soudha has shifted to Wayanad in Kerala. Instructions coming from there are being followed here.
Permission granted for a Malayalam film shoot in the Himavad Gopalaswamy Betta area, part of the tiger project region,is evidence of this. Local authorities have not permitted shooting in this restricted area.
A local ACF (Assistant Conservator of Forests) has stated that permission was granted at the government level. At the government level means who? The government needs to clarify this.
Earlier,Rahul Gandhi had written a letter asking the state government to provide compensation for an elephant attack in Wayanad. Is there still some instruction coming from Wayanad now? Ashok questioned.
