A gang of three armed men break into the ATM belonging to State Bank of India at Devanahalli
cross in Soolibele and made away with the cash ₹30 lakh on Friday night.
The gang carrying a gas cutting machine in a car barged into the ATM by cutting open the shutter and later cut open the ATM machine to rob cash from the chest.
The accused were wearing full face caps,sprayed black paint to the CCTV cameras to conceal their identity accused later sped away in a car bearing AP registration through Hosakote route .
There was no security guard at the ATM.Senior police officials visited the spot along with the FSL team to conduct the probe.
It may be recalled that the district police have stepped up vigil recently and intensified foot patrolling at the sensitive area.
The police also held several rounds of talks with the bank officials to discuss about the security measures to be taken to ensure safety of the ATMs .
