kochin:Congress leader and former chief minister,K Karunakaran’s daughter Padmaja Venugopal is rumoured to leave the Congress and join the BJP.
Today BJP It is indicated that Padmaja Venugopal may take membership at the headquarters.
Padmaja reached Delhi and held discussions with the BJP national leadership.
Padmaja told close friends that the reason behind the decision was the continuous neglect she faced from the Congress leadership.
The problem started when the district leaders stopped Padmaja from getting into Priyanka Gandhi’s vehicle during the last assembly election campaign rally.
It is also indicated that the Congress is delaying the construction of K.Karunakaran’s memorial and influenced Padmaja’s decision.Earlier there were reports that she would join the BJP, but Padmaja rejected it.
Padmaja said that she had heard a news in some media that she was going to join the BJP and did not know where it came from.

Padmaja changed her Facebook bio to Indian Politician from Kerala.
Padmaja contested the Thrissur constituency in the last two assembly elections but did not win.
Padmaja is currently one of the General Secretaries of KPCC.
After AK Antony’s son Anil Antony, K Karunakaran’s daughter is also in shock to join the BJP.
