New Delhi, India:Korean Cultural Centre India will host ‘Korean Culture Day’ at Select CITYWALK Mall in New Delhi on October 23–24,and at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad on October 25.
The event will offer a variety of K-culture performances, including K-pop, crossover music and jeongak (traditional Korean court music),along with programmes where visitors can experience K-food, traditional Korean games and K-content in one place.
In particular, based on the joint strategic vision announced by the leaders of both countries in April 2026,this year’s event will be organised as“Korea Culture Day 2026”,which integrates ‘Rang De Korea’and ‘K-Harmony Festa’into a single brand to expand friendship and mutual understanding between the people of both nations.
‘Rang De Korea’is a comprehensive cultural festival that has been organised in New Delhi since 2022.
Through a range of performances and cultural experience programmes,it has introduced Korean culture and expanded cultural exchanges in the city.
‘K-Harmony Festa’,which will be integrated into the event, is a regional touring festival designed to introduce Korean culture across India beyond the capital.
The festival’s main theme,‘One Light,Two Cities’,draws inspiration from Diwali,India’s festival of lights, and the full-moon traditions associated with Korea’s Chuseok holiday.
It highlights the shared hopes and friendship found across different cultures.A landmark zone designed as a corridor of light will be installed at the venue, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the cultural common ground between the two countries.
The event will feature a variety of performances and interactive programmes, including performances by a Taekwondo demonstration team, performances by Korean cultural artists, and a special K-pop performance by the boy group NTX.
In particular, the event in Hyderabad will also showcase traditional cultural performances from the state of Telangana, creating a space where the cultures of both Korea and India come together in harmony.
The events will also include the participation of major brands and organisations, including from Star Entertainment, the Indian distributor of the film ‘Hope’, BB.Q Chicken,Orion and MIXXO (E-Land),adding food, entertainment and lifestyle experiences to the celebrations.
Following the success of the Korean cultural event organised in Mumbai last year, this will be the first time that a comprehensive Korean cultural event is being organised in Hyderabad.
The initiative aims to expand the foundation for cultural exchanges across India and enable more visitors to enjoy the Korean Wave.
In September,Korean Cultural Centre India organised an outreach cultural programme in Guntur,Andhra Pradesh, featuring Korean language,Taekwondo and K-pop activities.
The Hyderabad event is being organised in cooperation with the Government of Telangana under a memorandum of understanding (MoU),with support from the Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hyderabad.
The Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange,Touring K-Arts and the Korean Youth Commerce Association in India are among the organisations supporting the festival.
Kang Kwon Su,Director of Korean Cultural Centre India, said,“This event has been designed to give a diverse range of visitors, including young people in India, the opportunity to experience Korean culture firsthand and deepen mutual understanding between the two countries.
We will continue to expand cultural exchange programmes in major Indian cities, creating more opportunities for local and Korean cultures to come together in diverse ways.”
