Tilaknagar police have arrested two men for allegedly creating panic among the public by brandishing deadly weapons on a busy road in Jayanagar.
The arrested accused have been identified as Nadeem and Junaid.
The incident occurred recently at Jayanagar 9th Block, where the accused allegedly moved around on a public road while carrying machetes and threatening people.
A local resident recorded the incident on a mobile phone,and the video later went viral on social media.
Taking note of the video and the public outrage,Tilak Nagar police launched an operation to identify and trace the accused.
The police eventually arrested both men and registered a case against them.
The accused were subsequently produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.
The swift action by the police has brought relief to local residents and shopkeepers in the area.
