A physically challenged woman was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon at a house in Bengaluru,leaving her with multiple injuries.
The victim, identified as Sufiya,42,is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU.
According to the complaint filed by her family,Sufiya had been living with Bhaskar and his first wife,who is also reportedly physically challenged.
The family has alleged that Sufiya was attacked on August 28 and sustained multiple sharp-weapon injuries.
The family said Bhaskar came to their house around noon and informed them that Sufiya had suffered injuries and had been shifted to a private hospital.
Her relatives rushed to the hospital around 2.30 pm, where doctors reportedly informed them that she had suffered five injuries to the head and three injuries to the hand.
Sufiya is reportedly in a critical condition and is undergoing treatment in the ICU.
The family has raised serious doubts over the circumstances of the assault.
They questioned how Bhaskar’s first wife,who is also physically challenged,could have allegedly attacked Sufiya multiple times with a sharp weapon.
The family suspects that more than one person may have been involved in the attack and has demanded a detailed investigation to establish the sequence of events and identify all those responsible.
They have also demanded strict legal action against Bhaskar, alleging that he is responsible for the incident.
Police are expected to investigate the allegations, examine the circumstances surrounding the assault and determine who was involved in the attack.
