A 24-year-old motorcycle rider was killed on the spot after a garbage lorry allegedly rammed his two-wheeler at Andrahalli in Peenya on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Mohin, 24,who was working as a two-wheeler mechanic.
According to the police,Mohin was returning home on his motorcycle after completing work on Monday when the accident occurred near Andrahalli.
The garbage lorry collided with his bike,leaving him critically injured.He died at the spot due to the severity of the injuries.
The accident caused panic among motorists and passers-by in the area for some time.Police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
The body was shifted to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem examination.
A case has been registered at the Peenya Traffic Police Station,and police are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
