The Pulakeshinagar police have arrested a 30-year-old man identified as zuhed for allegedly assaulting a woman after she refused his marriage proposal.
Senior officer told reporters that the victim,a native of Odisha,was working in a private firm in Bengaluru and was also involved in modelling.She had been residing in Pulakeshinagar along with her friend.
The accused,who was also working in the modelling field, had reportedly come in contact with the victim a few years ago during a project.Since 2024,he had allegedly been persistently pressuring her to marry him.
The woman has alleged that the accused had been stalking her and issuing life threats after she rejected his proposal.
Recently,after the accused reportedly used the woman’s photograph as his WhatsApp display picture,the victim and her friend went to his residence on Tuesday to question him.
During this confrontation,the accused allegedly assaulted both the woman and her friend.
Based on the complaint filed by the victim,a case has been registered at the Pulakeshinagar Police Station, and the accused has been taken into custody.Police are further investigating the matter.
