A massive fire broke out at an e-commerce company (JioMart)warehouse due to suspected short circuit and property worth several crores of rupees has been damaged in Madanayakanahalli on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night around 10 PM at a warehouse spread across nearly 1.5 acres in Adakamaranahalli.
The fire,reportedly triggered by a short circuit,quickly engulfed the entire facility,destroying a large quantity of stored goods.Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.
Thick smoke from the blaze spread across the Nelamangala highway,creating panic in the surrounding area and making it difficult for firefighters to access the warehouse.
Fire and emergency personnel struggled to control the flames and eventually had to break open the warehouse walls using a JCB to carry out firefighting operations.
Around 10 fire tenders were pressed into service,and officials battled through the night before successfully bringing the fire under control.
The warehouse was constructed about 18 years ago at a cost of Rs.20 crore on land owned by Padmaraj and was leased to the company .
The Madanayakanahalli police rushed to the spot, conducted an inspection,and registered a case for further investigation.
