Cab Driver Allegedly Fights With Woman In Bengaluru Airport, Case Registered, Driver Denies Allegations

The Kempegowda International airport police arrested a 42-year-old cab driver for harassing a woman passenger at the terminal demanding more money .

Based on the complaint filed by Narayana Swamy TH, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) attached to KIA station has submitted a report regarding a complaint received through the police emergency helpline 112 about alleged overcharging and misconduct by an auto driver.

According to the report filed by ASI Narasayanswamy,at around 8.06 am on February 21, 2026,a distress call was received via the 112 control room from a woman identified as Ms. Priyanshi .

Who had booked cab through app and arrived near Terminal-02 in the city.Upon completion of the trip,the app reflected a fare of Rs.982.

However,the cab driver,identified as Nagesh,allegedly demanded Rs.1,448 instead.

When the complainant objected to paying the excess amount and insisted on paying only the app-displayed fare, the driver allegedly refused to hand over her luggage until the money is paid .

The woman further alleged that the driver used abusive language,threatened her,and attempted to intimidate her.

Upon receiving the complaint,police personnel reached the spot and confronted Nagesh he abused the ASI and the police department too and created ruckus .

The police arrested Nagesh and seized the cab charging him under assault,criminal intimidation and assaulting or using criminal force against a public servant to deter them from discharging their duty for further investigation.

Nagesh was arrested and remanded to judicial custody .
