After nearly 20 hours of intense questioning, officials of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) on Saturday released RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna.
Speaking to the media after his release,Krishna apologised to the Chief Secretary for providing what he termed“misleading information.”
However, he maintained that the alleged payment of Rs.1.6 crore as bribe by then officer Natesh to secure his promotion must be thoroughly investigated.
Krishna said CCB officials had accused him of forging a video purportedly involving seven ministers and had subjected the content to detailed analysis.
“I had received the video from Vinod and uploaded it as it is,”he claimed, adding that this was corroborated in his statement.
The CCB has issued him a fresh notice directing him to appear again for questioning on Tuesday.
