Flower vendor robbed at knife point by two unidentified miscreants & made away with Rs.10,000 while he was on his way to fetch flowers from market in Agrahara Dasarahalli

A 65-year-old flower vendor was robbed of Rs.10,000 at knife-point by two unidentified persons in Agrahara Dasarahalli of Magadi Road police station limits in the early hours of Friday .

The victim,Siddamadu,a resident of Agrahara Dasarahalli,has been running a flower business along with his wife by selling flowers on a pushcart.

As per the complaint,he was on his way to the City Market around 4 am to purchase flowers with the cash when the incident occurred.

Senior officer told reporters that the incident took place near Dhruva Medicals on the main road of Agrahara Dasarahalli.

Two unidentified men reportedly intercepted him, threatened him with a knife,and demanded money.

When he resisted,they allegedly forcefully took Rs.10,000 in cash from his pocket and fled from the spot.The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV camera installed near-by.

Shocked and frightened by the incident,the victim returned home and later discussed the matter with his family members before approaching the police and lodging a complaint.

A case has been registered at Magadi Road police station,and efforts are on to trace and nab the accused. The police have registered a case of robbery and efforts are on to track down the accused .
