The cubbon park police on Tuesday registered an FIR against security guards of Bengaluru club for assaulting a 55-year-old private firm employee after he created ruckus over a entry into the club to get his lost mobile phone on Tuesday afternoon.
The visibly disturbed victim disrobed in protest after he denied entry into the club at the gate on Lavelle road before a car getting out of the club knocked him down while people watched in shock.
Few passers by recorded the incident on their mobile phone which went viral on social media.
The victim identified as Rajesh Ananth,in his complaint to the police that on February 1,he and his family visited the club for drinks and food.However,he had forgotten his phone there.
The next day at 2 pm,he visited again,only to be denied entry despite requesting them that he had to get back his phone which he left back .
He told the police that one of the security guards attacked him with a cane after he unknowingly removed his clothes and began arguing with them.He was also drunk,the police said.
Naked and angry, the man also tried to stop a red car that was leaving the gate.
The car driver tried to run him over,leading to him sustaining injuries,the FIR noted.
A video of the exchange went viral on social media.
The police said that they had registered two seperate cases,including against the person for further investigation.
