Bengaluru tragedy Mother and Son killed after hit by speeding college bus In Viveknagar

In a heart-wrenching road accident, a 37-year-old woman and her eight-year-old son were killed on the spot after a speeding private college bus knocked them down on Viveknagar Main Road in central Bengaluru on Monday morning.

The victims have been identified as Sangeetha (37) and her son Parth (8), residents of Ejipura.

Senior officer as Joint Commissioner of Police Traffic, Karthik Reddy,DCP Traffic West Dr.Anoop A Shetty with ACP and other staff visited the accident spot and after inspecting the spot and collecting information he said,The tragic incident occurred around 7.15 am when Sangeetha was crossing the busy road with her son on their way to Army Public School.

Sangeetha was employed at the same school,while Parth was a student there.

The private college bus, which was allegedly being driven at high speed,hit the mother and son with such force that they died instantly.

Following the accident,the bus driver abandoned the vehicle at the spot and fled.The Ashoknagar Traffic Police have seized the college bus and launched a manhunt to trace the absconding driver.

The bodies were shifted to Bowring Hospital for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
