In a tragic incident where a four-year-old girl lost her life after being struck by a cement hollow brick that fell from an under-construction building in HAL police station limits on Thursday.

Senior officer said the accident occurred when a cement brick fell from the fourth floor of a building that was under construction.
The brick landed on a sheet-roof house located adjacent to the construction site,where the child,identified as Manasvi (4), was present.She sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
The building was being constructed by a man identified as Subbarao.Police said that around five to six cement bricks had fallen onto the sheet house during the incident,indicating negligence at the construction site.
Following the incident,a case has been registered at the HAL Police Station,and further investigation is underway to ascertain responsibility and lapses in safety measures during construction.
The incident has once again raised serious concerns over safety norms at construction sites located close to residential areas.
