A 32-year-old man died after being electrocuted while trying to save his beloved parrot,worth around Rs 2.5 lakh.
The deceased has been identified as Arun Kumar.Police said he was running a business of making vehicle number plates.
The incident took place in Girinagar area of south Bengaluru. Kumar was on the compound wall while trying to save his expensive parrot, which was on a high-voltage electric pole.
At this time,he accidentally touched the electric wire and fell down from the wall.Kumar was immediately taken to the hospital.
But the doctors declared him dead there.A case has been registered in this regard at the Girinagar police station and investigation is underway.
The brightly coloured parrot,reportedly worth Rs250,000
had flown out and perched on a nearby electric pole.
Worried,but determined,Kumar climbed onto his compound wall with a steel pipe,hoping to gently guide the bird back to safety.
Kumar was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.A case of unnatural death has been registered by the police.An investigation is underway a senior officer said.
