Cloth Shop owner booked by Parappana Agrahara police for assaulting his minor son over trivial row

The Parappana Agrahara police have booked a case against a 42-year-old cloth shop owner for assaulting his minor son.

Based on the complaint filed by the mother of the victim, the police booked Anand Reddy,charging him under JJ Act and also under voluntary causing hurt,intentional insult and criminal intimidation on Wednesday.

According to the complaint,the accused would punish his 10-year-old son student of 5th standard,harshly for the last one year.

He would beat him for trivial reason on the pretext of discipline him for not studying,the complaint,said .

On Tuesday night Anand Reddy took up a wooden scale and started hitting the boy for two hours using a wooden scale.The boy exhausted and the mother when tried to intervene was also assaulted .

The boy was taken to the hospital for treatment.When confronted the accused humiliated the mother causing physical and mental torture .
