A 32-year-old daily wage labourer who was assaulted by a group of people on Saturday objecting to his alleged affair with a woman succumbed at the KC General hospital later.
The deceased identified as Narasimharaja and on Tuesday after the victim’s family demanded the arrest of the accused and shared CCTV footage to the media.
The deceased,a resident of Muthyalamma Nagar who was working in as daily wage labourer .
Dhanalakshmi,sister of the deceased alleged that Narasimharaja had an affair with a widow (Lakshmi) for two and half years.His family members advised him to stay away from her.
However,Lakshmi would frequently visit his house and stayed on the first floor.
On Saturday afternoon she came and was inside a room. A few minutes later her family members including father, brothers and relatives barged into the house,dragged Narasimharaja outside and assaulted black and blue .
Narasimharaja’s mother who was at home at the time of the incident,was also assaulted when she tried to save her son.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.The family also claimed that even after the complaint was filed,the police have not arrested the accused so far and shared CCTV footage to the media and demanded immediate action against the accused.
However police clarified that a case of suspicious death has been registered and they are waiting for the postmortem and FSL report for further course of action .
