A 35-year-old woman was brutally murdered at her residence in Hongasandra,in Bommanahalli Police Station limits on Monday .
The deceased has been identified as Pramoda,originally from Sirsi in Uttara Kannada district.
Senior officer told reporters that,Pramoda was married to a man named Suresh,married Pramoda with a 16 years daughter.She was working in garment factory after separately staying from her husband .
Further it was revealed that the attackers slit Pramoda’s throat with a lethal weapon before escaping.
Preliminary investigation suggests that an illicit relationship may have been the motive behind the murder.
The Bommanahalli police have visited the spot conducted spot inspection and are questioning Pramoda’s family members and acquaintances as part of the ongoing investigation.
In another incident,a 55-year-old man,identified as Narayanaswamy, died after he was brutally assaulted in a quarrel that allegedly began over a trivial issue.
The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Chikkajala Police Station.
According to police,on the night of November 11, Narayanaswamy and one Muni Venkatarappa had reportedly consumed alcohol and engaged in an argument outside a bar.
Enraged over Narayanaswamy allegedly assaulting his father,Venkatarappa’s son Ajay is said to have attacked Narayanaswamy in retaliation.
Narayanaswamy sustained severe injuries in the assault
and was rushed to the hospital.
Despite receiving treatment,he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday .
The Chikkajala Police have registered a case of murder and arrested the accused,Ajay,in connection with the incident.
