Speeding EV BMTC lost control crashed into series of vehicles Autorickshaw driver injured at busy Mysuru road

An autorickshaw driver was injured and three Autorickshaws were damaged after a speeding BMTC electric bus (EV Bus) lost control crashed into series of vehicles at the busy Sirsi circle on Mysuru road on Tuesday.

The incident took place near Sirsi Junction around 11:45 a.m,when an e-bus heading from Krishnarajendra Market (KR Market) towards Tavarekere crashed into an autorickshaw,leaving the auto driver with minor injuries and damaging three other autorickshaws.

The injured was rushed to a near-by hospital while huge jam caused due to the accident on the busy road.

The Chamarajpet traffic police rushed to the spot and detained the driver on the charges of rash and negligent driving endangering the safety of others .

While the police are yet to ascertain the exact reason,it was suspected that the driver may have accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.The police also subjected the driver for drunk driving test and found it negative .

On Saturday another BMTC E-bus knocked down 58-year-old Mala in Hampinagar in Vijayanagar traffic police station lmits,killing her on the spot .

On October 11,at least nine vehicles,including four cars, four autorickshaw and a two-wheeler were damaged after a BMTC electric bus caused a serial accident near Chinnaswamy Stadium .
