The Chikkajala police have arrested a labourer for beating his co worker to death over a trivial row over cooking non veg at the under construction house they were living .
The incident occurred at an under construction house at Navarathna Agrahara,Jala Hobli where the accused Radheshyam Chauhan and deceased Shambu Thanti, 48,along with another worker sham Tanthi were living.
According to the police Shambu,from Bhiar and was observing Chatt Puja for a week and objected to Radheshyam for cooking non veg during this period as it was no non veg period.
The duo had an argument on Sunday night and complained to Surendra Pandita,their senior about the issue.Pandita pacified the duo and told them that he would sort out the issue the next day.
However on Monday when Pandita called Sham Thanti the next day he was not answering for which he called others workers to and check .
Based on their information,Pandita rushed to the construction site and found Shambu lying dead with injuries on his face.
The accused Radheshyam who was on the run called one of the co worker and confessed that unable to bear the harassment and fight with Shambhu over non veg issue,he beat him to death while he was sleeping and even strangled him to make sure he is dead .
The Chikkajala police have registered a case of murder and arrested Radheshyam.The police have taken him into custody to ascertain other possible reasons for the murder .
