Threat Call To Priyank Kharge:Bengaluru Police Arrest Man From Maharashtra

In a swift action,the Sadashivanagar police have track down a Sales executive for making threat and abusive calls to IT BT Minister,Priyank Kharge objecting to his remarks on RSS ban issue .

Based on a complaint,a team of police track down the accused identified as Dhanappa,40,working for an FMCG company,from his hometown Solapura through his call record details .

The police have brought him to the city and taken him into custody to ascertain the reason behind making the calls and how he accessed the contact number of Mr. Priyank Kharge.

The police are also verifying the possibility of involvement of others in the case .

Mr.Kharge had shared a video on social media where the accused called him and hurled abuses and threats on his remarks on RSS ban.

Earlier Mr.Kharge had written to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, seeking a ban on activities of the Rashtriya Syamsevak Sanghi (RSS) in government schools,colleges and public institutions,which took political turn with opposition BJP party members , commented and criticised him heavily .

The incident had taken a different turn as supports of Mr.Priyank Kharge protested across the state in support of their leaders,demanding action against those who are making threat calls .

Reacting to the issue,Mr.Priyank Kharge said that this indicate the mentality of the RSS members and supporters for using abusing and issuing threats,and said that he was flooded with such calls and switch off his mobiles and to avoid such calls .
