The Lokayukta officials of Tumakur district on Thursday trapped Secretary and bill collector of Thovinkere Gram Panchayath,in Koratagere taluk of Tumakuru district,red handed while accepting a bribe from a businessman for an official favour.
The accused had demanded ₹8.000 from TK Mohammed,73,to issue E swathu (digital database of property ownership in rural areas).
Taking objection,Mr.Mohammed approached Lokayukta and filed a complaint based on which the officials trapped Suma and her assistant Maruthi,red handed .
The duo has been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act and taken into custody for further investigation.
