The Sanjaynagar police have arrested a 32-year-old salesman for sexually harassing a city based lady doctor while travelling in a KSRTC bus .
Based on the complaint filed by the victim,the police arrested the accused identified as Firoz Khan (32),a salesperson from RT Nagar charging him under section 354 (assault or use of criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of BNS.He was questioned and later released on station bail .
Senior officer told reporters,the incident occurred on Thursday after she had boarded around 6 pm.When the bus heading to Majestic from Doddaballapura reached near Esteem Mall.
The accused was sitting next to her allegedly misbehaved and touched her inappropriately.
The woman immediately informed the driver and called her brother,who alerted the police helpline 112.Police rushed to the spot and detained the accused .
