Crane used for building construction crashed five sustained injuries in Bengaluru’s KR Puram

Five people sustained injuries and two houses damaged when part of the crane used for the building construction crashed in Medahalli in KR Puram on Sunday morning.

The crane belonging to a private firm was parked in the residential area for repair.The residents objected and even raised complaints with the BBMP officials and the local police,but in vain.

On Sunday when the people were repairing the crane, part of the beam and ladder used to repair the crane snapped and crashed on the roof of the houses.

The victims are tenants sustained sevre injuries as the roof of the both the houses caved in.The injured were shifted to a private hospital in Bhattarahalli and the police and BBMP officials visited the spot for inspection.

The residents vent their ire on inaction of the authorities to ensure safety of the residents the BBMP officials despite complaints allow heavy machinery to park and function in the residential areas without permission,a resident complained.

The Avalahalli police have taken up a case of against the crane owner for further investigation.
