In a swift action,the Pulakeshinagar police pin down a Rowdy-sheeter who carjacked a cab driver at knifepoint was arrested within 12 hours on Tuesday.
The accused Mansoor,having 14 criminal cases pending against him,intercepted a cab driver in Pulakeshinagar at around 4.30 am and demanded Rs.5,000 at knife point.
When the driver pleaded to let him go as he did not have money,the accused forced him out and sped away with the car.
Based on the complaint,the police rushed to the spot and analysed the CCTV footage from in and around to identify the accused.
One of the officer had identified the accused as he had arrested the accused earlier .
A team led by Inspector Govindaraju B,tracked down Mansoor’s Location and arrested him within 12 hours of the crime,minutes before he could executed another robbery,which he had planned .
The accused has been booked under robbery and remanded to judicial custody while recovering the jacked car from him.
