The Marathahalli police have arrested a 35-year-old construction worker for allegedly stabbing his co-worker to death over a trivial row over tipping the server of the bar on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Mahadev 45, native of Raichur,while the accused,Raju from Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu,was arrested within a few hours of the murder.
Both were daily wage labourers who often worked and slept at the same construction sites.
Senior officer told reporters,on Saturday night,both men were consuming alcohol when an argument over tip given to the server of the bar broke out.
Later,while returning to their construction site on service road,Raju allegedly stabbed Mahadev in the abdomen with a knife,killing him on the spot before fleeing the scene.
The police have registered a murder case and arrested the accused.
