A 29-year-old labourer allegedly killed his wife by slitting her throat before ending his life at their house on Ullal main road in Jnanabharathi police station limits on Sunday.
The accused has been identified as Dharmaseelan Ramesh,29,and his wife Manju P, 27,who worked as a nurse at a private hospital in the city .
The accused worked in Dubai,returned to his city a month ago and the couple stayed in their native for a 15 days before coming back to the city to work .
Periyaswamy,53,father of Manju in his complaint said that the incident came to light at around 8.30 pm on Sunday when he visited the house of her daughter .
He found the door was locked from inside and repeated attempts opened the door to find Manju was lying dead on a bead with a throat slit,while Ramesh was hanging to the ceiling fan next to the Manju’s body with a nylon rope .
The police based on the complaint has registered a case of murder for further investigations.The police are probing further to ascertain the motive behind the murder and suicide for further investigations.
