The Indiranagar police have arrested a 29-year-old manager of a hotel for misbehaving with a woman traffic police sub inspector in an inebriated state during drunk driving check on Friday night .
The accused identified as Aditya Agarwal,29,native of Bihar and resident of Akshay Nagar,has been charged with section 352(intentional insult with the intent to provoke a breach of the public peace or to cause another offence),351( criminal intimidation) and 132 (assaulting or using criminal force against a public servant while they are carrying out their official duties) and remanded him to judicial custody.
High Drama prevailed at around 12.05 am,when the accused who was driving a car on 12th Main Road,Near 100 Feet Road Junction,saw a team of traffic station, conducting DD checks .
The accused who was drunk in a bid to escape,stopped 20 metres away from the checking spot and ventured into Vapour Pub,while the police noticed him escaping, chased to stop him and subject him to alcometer test .
The police with the help of bouncers brought him out of the pub.When WPSI,Ms.Kavitha,asked him to blow into the device,the accused created a ruckus shouted and hurled abuses at her threatening with dire consequences .
The police team along with passers-by recorded the incident on their mobile which went viral on social media.
The accused was seen shouting and asking the officer, “to speak in Hindi and English”as he didn’t understand Kannada.
The police alerted the Hoysala who rushed to the spot and bundled him to the Indiranagar police station for further proceedings.
