An ASI attached to Rajajinagar Police Station sustained serious head injury after being attacked by a suspect armed with an iron rod when they tried to catch him.
The injured ASI,Suresh was rushed to private hospital with profusely bleeding where doctor treated him suresh got nine stitches on his head and doctors advised him complete rest.
The incident occurred when suresh and his colleague based on control room message rushed to a residential area and found a man walking on the terrace one of the houses.
Suresh and team climbed up the terrace and tried to catch him.But the accused attacked him with iron rod in a bid to escape .
The others chased the accused and pinned him down before taking him to station while suresh rushed to the hospital.
The accused later identified as Vishwanath from srirampura suspected to have come to steal valuables.
With the brave act by the ASI,Suresh and his team has bundled the armed suspect and arrested him after getting seriously injured in head while on duty and the accused has been remanded to judicial custody the brave act by the ASI and staff of Rajajinagar has foiled the suspect robbery in the area says one of the neighbour and senior officers appreciated there work .
