The Hebbagodi police have arrested a 25-year-old ITI graduate PU dropout who is running a racket of fake government ID cards and certificates to his customers for the last one year.
The accused identified as Raghuveer,from Anekal running the cyber cafe on Bhavani road in Hebbagodi and creating fake government IDs and educational certificates with forged documents and sell it to his customers for the price ranging from ₹ 2,000 to ₹10,000 for the government Fake Aadhar and charge ₹50,000 for the educational certificates like SSLC and PU marks card .
Majority of the customers are approaching him for fake Aadhar card to be used for Oyo room service,a senior officer,said,while Raghuveer would advised the customers to use the SSLC and PU marks cards only for private companies works.
This is to avoid getting caught when the fake certificates are used for any government related work or to apply jobs through scrutiny.
This according to the police is not only helping people for anti social activities but also posing threat to the national security, the officer,said .
Based on a tip off,a team of police officials led by Inspector,Somashekhar sent a police staff as decoy to get a ID card and raided after confirmed .
The police have seized the electronic equipment and the mobile phones from Raghuveer and his associate Yashwanth,19,a PU drop out for further investigation.
