Bengaluru North City Corporation Commissioner,Pommala Sunil Kumar and Yelahanka MLA S.R.Vishwanath conducted a joint inspection of key ongoing development projects in the Yelahanka division.
During the inspection,strict instructions were issued to concerned officials to expedite the completion of pending works.
*Key Directives Issued During the Inspection:
1.Allalasandra Lake–The remaining fencing work must be completed,wetland and silt traps should be cleaned, and additional public toilet facilities are to be constructed for the benefit of visitors.
2.White-Topping Works–As the work orders have already been issued to the contractors, they were directed to commence the work immediately without further delay.
3.Flyover Project–Contractors were instructed to complete the work within the stipulated timeline,with no further extensions allowed.Issues related to land acquisition will be resolved promptly.
4.Railway Underpass–Box pushing work in railway premises has been completed.The approach road works and remaining land acquisition processes will be expedited.Compensation due to the railway department will be cleared within 15 days.
5.Yelahanka Lake to Jakkur Lake (Major Stormwater Drain) Project–The ongoing stormwater drain works are expected to be completed soon. Land acquisition issues along this stretch will be resolved immediately.
6.NITTE College Road–Considering the presence of several educational institutions in the area,the pending 1.5 km road widening project will be taken up on priority.
To address the issue of illegal parking of cars and two-wheelers along the roadside,directions were issued to coordinate with the traffic police department.
The MLA and Commissioner emphasized the need for all concerned departments to work in coordination and with mutual cooperation.
They also instructed the officials to respond promptly to public grievances and take appropriate action.
Commissioner Conducts Site Visit on K.V.Jayaram Road (Double Road) in Jakkur,Ward No.5.
The Commissioner undertook a walking inspection covering approximately 1.5 km of the Jakkur Double Road.
He observed waste being dumped along the roadside and instructed officials to collect evidence against the offenders and take strict action.
Issues such as potholes and stray dogs were also noted during the inspection.
He directed the concerned teams to clear waste from the medians and roadside areas within two days. Additionally,he ordered that fines be imposed on those found dumping waste in public spaces.
Present during the inspection were Joint Commissioner, Mohammad Naem Momin,Chief Engineer,Ranganath, Executive Engineers,Assistant Executive Engineers, Horticulture Officers,and other relevant officials.
