The south division police of Konanakunte, Banashankari and Kumaraswamy layout arrested six persons in three separate cases and arrested 3 inter-state and 3 Foreign National and busted drug peddling racket on Wednesday.
The Konanakunte police inspector,Nanjegowda S, and his team caught three persons from manipur and recovered 111.16 grams of cocaine and Rs. from them.
The accused have been identified as Mueen Alam,22,Mohd Sahidur Rahman,22 and Md Wakim,23,from Manipur were caught red handed while selling drugs at Konanakunte metro station.The accused have been booked under NDPS Act and taken into custody to ascertain the drug network and the source of drugs.
Meanwhile the Kumaraswamy layout police inspector,P Shivakumar and his team arrested a 36 year old african national and recovered 20 grams of MDMA worth Rs 1.3 lakh from them.The accused Dallo Barthelemy,36,was caught red handed while he was waiting near an isolated place at teachers colony to sell the drugs.
Similarly the Banashankari police inspector, Puttaswamy HP and his team have arrested Prince Ani chidozie Samuel,33,from Nigeria and Fofana Ahamad, 28,ivory coast were caught near KIMS college hostel while they were waiting to deliver drugs to their clients
The police recovered 32 grams of MDMA and Rs. 7,000 cash from them.
Prince Ani had come to india on Medical visa and overstayed to gang up Ahamad and peddled drugs.
The police have stepped up vigil to monitor peddlers ahead of new year eve and all the accused has been booked under NDPS Act and a Nigerian National has been booked under foreigners Act.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP West,Soumendhu Mukherjee,DCP South,Harish Pandey,ACP,TM Shivakumar,PIs,as,Nanjegowda,P Shivakumar, Puttaswamy HP,PSIs,as,Vinay KL,Smt.Sowmya MS,Nagesh HM,Srikantaiah, Probationary PSI,Sreenivas Prasad,Ms.Nandini M and whole Anti-Narcotics crime staffs of the respective station has been appreciated for the commendable and exemplary work done by them in nabbing the peddlers and a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
