Four arrested by Wilson Garden Police for assaulting college student with arms over talking to girl studying in their college

The Wilson Garden police on Thursday arrested four people for assaulting a 20-year-old college student with arms over a trivial row.

The arrested are Mohammed Fardeen,24;Mohammed Afaan,26,Mohammed Rayan,21,and Sameer M,24.

Senior officer told reporters that the accused had gotten into an argument with the victim Babur Rayan’s friend Afrid,over talking to a girl studying in their college on Lal Bagh road .

The incident occurred on Tuesday when Rayan who was taking to his friend,Afridi when the accused armed with lethal weaponed attacked Afridi.

He managed to escape and the accused after making futile attempt to catch him,returned to Rayan and assaulted him with machete and knives in an attempt to kill him and damaged his scooter .

Rayan managed to escape and got treatment in a private hospital for his injuries before approaching the police .

Based on the complaint,the Wilson Garden police booked a case under Sections 109(1) (attempt to murder),115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt),190 (unlawful assembly),191(3) (rioting),352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace),324(3) (mischief) and 351 (criminal intimidation) of BNS and arrested the accused.
