Panic gripped among the parents and children after a private school in Varthur on Tuesday received a bomb threat prompting the management to send the students home.
The threat was sent via email to Chrysalis High Varthur and the management dispersed the students and alerted the parents to pick up their children from school before alerting the police.
The police rushed to the spot along with the bomb disposal and canine squad to conduct a through check before declaring it as hoax.
It may be recalled that as many as 40 schools and other institutions in and around the city received such hoax calls and emails in July this year.
City police commissioner,Seemanth Kumar Singh, requested the people not to get panicked and said that the matter has been taken very seriously and cyber crime police and ISD officials are probing to track down the accused involved in such acts.
