The MK Doddi police in Channapattana rural circle have registered a case of abetment to suicide after a KEB Employee Kumar,allegedly died by suicide over alleged harassment from a digital arrest and extortion incident on Tuesday.
The accused posing as CBI officer forced the deceased Kumar K,to transfer Rs.11 lakh over 2 weeks.Kumar’s suicide note cited harassment as reason.
According to Savithramma,wife of the deceased,Kumar was under stress and getting constant phone calls for the last 15 days.He was staying with his wife and 8 year old son in BTM layout for the last 25 years.
He had gone to his native citing some work and ended his life.The police found a death note in his pocket citing a person identified as Vikram Goswami claiming to be CBI officer threatening him with arrest warrant and extorted money due to this he is taking extreme step.
The police are said that he is also mentioned health reason in the suicide note,which is being probed .
The police are now initiated investigation and checking his bank accounts and phone call details to ascertain the exact reason for his extreme step.
