To address the ongoing garbage issues in the Yelahanka Zone,additional vehicles will be deployed,stated BBMP Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao.
Addressing a public grievance redressal session held today at the meeting hall in the Mini Vidhana Soudha as part of the“Mukhya Ayuktara Nade Valayada Kade”(Chief Commissioner’s Visit to The Zone) initiative,he announced that 50 auto-tippers and 7 compactors will be added to the waste collection fleet in the Yelahanka Zone.
*Animal Care Center to Be Set Up:
A site has been earmarked in Doddabettahalli within the Yelahanka Zone for establishing an animal care center. He instructed the officials to expedite the required infrastructure work and ensure the center is made operational at the earliest.
*Monthly Meetings with Resident Welfare Associations:
In order to address local issues more effectively, he directed the executive engineers to conduct monthly meetings with Resident Welfare Associations and resolve area-specific problems promptly. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining continuous cleanliness efforts.
*Railway Underpass Project to Be Expedited:
The underpass work near Yelahanka Railway Station is yet to be completed due to pending land acquisition.The Commissioner directed concerned authorities to complete the land acquisition process and finish the underpass construction within the stipulated timeframe.
*Grievances Received from 23 Citizens:
As part of the “Mukhya Ayuktara Nade Valayada Kade”(Chief Commissioner’s Visit to The Zone) initiative in the Yelahanka Zone,23 citizens submitted grievances, and officials were instructed to respond promptly and resolve the issues raised.
*Key Grievances Submitted by Citizens:
*Request for construction of a bus shelter on Hegde Nagar Main Road.
*Appeal to construct roads and drains in Srinivaspura near Kogilu,where no such infrastructure currently exists.
*Complaint about illegal house construction near Narsipura Lake,requesting removal.
*Appeal for proper underground drainage systems in Thanisandra and Jakkur areas.
*Request to remove unscientifically installed cement speed breakers on cross roads.
*Concern about newly asphalted roads being damaged deliberately, seeking preventive action.
*Damaged slabs near Attur to be repaired.
*Encroachment issues near Rachenahalli Lake to be addressed.
*Regulation of flex banners requested.
*Legal action urged against unauthorized construction activities.
Also present during the session were Zonal Commissioner,Karigowda,Joint Commissioner, Mohammad Nayeem Momin,Deputy Commissioner, Mamatha,Chief Engineer,Ranganath,and officials from BBMP,BWSSB, BESCOM,and other related departments.
