Bengaluru CCB police crackdown on overstaying foreigners in special drive & tracked 11 Foreign Nationals

Officials of the Anti Narcotics Wing of Central Crime Branch on Monday conducted a special drive and track down 11 Foreigner Nationals who are overstaying in the city and were on the run.

Five among the detained have been deported to their respective countries while the others who are involved in different cases are being verified for further action,City police commissioner,Seemanth Kumar Singh,said .

According to him,the accused do not have travel documents and were staying in and around East Division involved in illegal activities.

These Foreigners come on tourists,visiting and Stunt visas and go off the radar after the expiry of the visa term.

Some of them who got admitted to the private colleges do not attend classes for months and it is the duty of the college concerned to alert the police .

Even the police jurisdictional police and the FRRO officials at times,failed to monitor the Foreigners on regular basis,a senior officer, part of the drive, said .
