Speeding KSRTC Bus Driver arrested for knocking retired head constable to death

A 71-year-old retired head constable was killed when a KSRTC bus knocked down his motorcycle in Rajajinagar on Wednesday evening.

The deceased Hanumantharayappa,worked with City Armed Reserve resident of Chikkabanavara had gone to PF office to get update on his pension and returning home

.

The KSRTC bus passing by in a rash and negligent manner knocked down the bike,Hanumanthrayappa lost balance,slipped from the bike and came under the moving wheels .

The Severely injured Hanumantharayappa was rushed to a near-by hospital where succumbed later.

The Rajajinagar traffic police arrested the driver and seized the bus for further investigations.

Residents alleged road condition led to the accident. They blamed the BBMP officials for digging up the road frequently for repair causing traffic problem and posing threat to the motorists and pedestrians .
